As we may have told you the Watersports Centre is being gutted and redeveloped as a fitness cum watersports centre which will not be complete until Christmas.
We had thought that we could manage to have the Access races despite this but now that all the builder's barricades are in place it leaves us with very little outdoor space as well as no indoor space at all. We could put up a mini-marquee but we cannot find room for all the trailers and cars. The big carpark has completely gone. The TT fixture will be back at Tideway next year but meanwhile we must cancel the event for this year. We're very sorry but we never envisaged that we would be as cramped as we are. The water is the only thing that remains the same.
Please forgive us for not having realised before that we simply can't lay on a decent event this year.
Access people travel such huge distances - they deserve better than we can offer this year.
