Attention all Access Racers Decision by the ACA UK Technical Committee news article
The Technical Committee has received a request from a severely disabled Access 2.3 sailor to be allowed to fit a length of strong shock-cord from the boom to the bow and back to the other side of the boom. It is suggested that this will help to pull the boom out and keep it firmly in position when sailing downwind in light airs. A similar arrangement will be seen on many OK, Solo and Finn class dinghies.
