The Hansa Class UK art competition!
You don't need to be an artist, there are various categories and we hope you will get involved and do something fun! More details will be available tomorrow (ist May)...watch this space!

2020 Hansa Art Competition

Whilst we are all busy ‘not sailing’ we thought it would be fun to see how creative all our Hansa friends are! We are launching a HANSA UK ART competition to run throughout May. You can enter as many times as you like and there are some great prizes from our friends at GUL Watersports!

Here are the categories:

  • Category No1.Photography/art - ON THE WATER. i.e. racing, training, learning to sail, enjoying the water – we want to see your best ON THE WATER Hansa photographs/drawings/paintings.
  • Category No2.Photography/art - ONSHORE. i.e. volunteers, boat preparation, personalities, socialising, sailing friends – we want to see your best ONSHORE Hansa photographs/drawings/paintings.
  • Category No3. How creative can you be? - iCreative Sailing - In any medium…(drawing, painting, computer art, sculpture, videos, baking…anything!) i.e. Create your best Hansa Lockdown “sailing at home” using anything you like! We want to see your drawings, paintings, videos of Hansa fun at home. For example…. Can you make a Hansa boat from things you have at home? Decorate Hansa themed cakes? The list is endless…
  • Category No4 - Design your perfect Hansa boat. We want to see you use your imagination and lots of colour. Don’t forget to give your boat a name too!

How to Enter

Please send pictures of your creations to treasurer@hansaclass.org.uk or via Facebook messenger.

Tell us which category (1,2,3,4) you are entering.

Please include your name and your sailing club (if applicable).

We really want to see how creative everyone is being and how you are all getting your sailing fix at home! Please try and include the HANSA logo too. We will be sharing all your creations on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, so please follow us on those channels if you can.

We want to encourage everyone to get involved no matter how old or young and hope that this will be a fun activity for you to enjoy during this difficult time.

Rules

Entries to the competition will close on 31st May 2020 (Now extended as follows: Entries close at 8pm on Monday 15th June and will be judged soon after.") and will be judged by persons independent of Hansa Class UK. Winners and prizes will be awarded early in June. Winners will be notified by email.
