As you are aware Blind Sailing is trying to put on as many training weekends for those wishing to compete is the different types of racing that is available to Blind and Visually Impaired people.

To events that Blind Sailing will be entering teams for are;

March 2011 – Blind Match Racing – Australia
2011 – Blind Nationals
2011 – RYA Multi Class Regatta
2013 – Blind World Championships – Japan

We are hoping to build a squad of sailors that can aim to these events over the coming months and years.

The next two training weekends will be held at UKSA on the Isle of Wight in J80’s and Sonar, with elements of both Fleet racing and Match racing all working on your own personal skills and working as at team.

The dates are;

30th – 31st Oct 2010
27th – 28th Nov 2010

We would ask you all to arrive on Friday evening to ensure that the sailing can start prompt on the Saturday morning. We are also hoping that on these two events we will have guest speakers for the Friday evenings but this will be confirmed nearer the time.

The cost of the weekends will be;

Accommodation at UKSA including Friday and Saturday nights, breakfast, lunch and dinner on the Saturday and Breakfast and Lunch on the Sunday - £20 a night. (Those that wish to book there own accommodation please inform me on your entry and you will need to provide your own pack lunch).

Sailing and Coaching for the two days will be £90.

We have 10 to 12 places available on both weekends please can I ask you to confirm via email by 30th September 2010 to blind.sailing@yahoo.co.uk you can express interest in both weekends if you wish.
